TRAINING AT MONTANA CITY SCHOOL
COMPLETED.
Thanks to our instructors who traveled to
Montana City for the new school Measured Academic Progress
training seminar. Jane Neussen from Kansas was the
facilitator and she brought with her many years of classroom
experience making it more valuable for our teaching staff in
attendance.
A big thank you to Superintendent, Tony Kloker,
IT Manager, Jerry Geier
and the entire Montana City School for making their school available to the Alliance
and making us feel welcomed there!

WORKSHOP REGISTRATION LINK ON LEFT IS
OPERATIONAL.
Our link to register for our coming slate of
workshops is functional now and you can register online.
You will find the link to the left on each page under "Workshop
Registration". Our first consortium workshops are
scheduled for Thursday, September 16, 2010 at the Red Lion
State Room in
Helena and then on
Friday, September 17, 2010 at the Yogo Inn Mountain
Room in Lewistown. Both workshops run from 9:00 a.m. to
3:00 p.m. with onsite registration available prior to the
opening of each presentation. Refreshments and lunch are provided at each
site. While we are working on a review of Mathematics and
Science curriculum this year, this first workshop is provided by
the Montana Public Broadcasting Corporation and is entitled
"MISSION U.S" project. It is historical in nature and
deals with the Boston Massacre.
Attendees are requested to bring a laptop
with wireless connectivity and a set of headphones.
While it is desired, I am told that you should not stay away if
you cannot provide those items. We will have a couple
extra laptops available and attendees can pair up as well.
This promises to be quite interesting and the initial reviews
have been very positive by all teachers, including those in
rural settings. Hope to see you there. Below is a
tentative agenda for each day:
9-9:15 - Introductions
9:15-10:30 - Project Overview
10:30-11:30 - Sample Classroom Activities
11:30-11:40 - Break
11:40-12:30 - Review and Discussion of
Teaching Materials
12:30-1:15 - Lunch
1:15-1:30 - Registering and Accessing the
Online Game
